Route

Month 1

We will start with about 10 days in Egypt. This will include sightseeing and winding our way down to Sudan, as well as getting lots of things for the rest of the trip finalised. Then we will spent about 4 days in Sudan, which will be mostly driving and a little sightseeing. The following week will be travelling and sightseeing in Ethiopia and making our way to Nairobi. The final week of the first month will be spent in southeast Kenya.

Month 2

We will spend the first week in northern Tanzania travelling east and ending up at the coast back in Kenya. We will then spend 5 days on the islands of Pemba and Zanzibar. We will then spend another 6 days travelling back to and along Lake Malawi. Following this, we will travel back east to Pemba, Mozambique, spend 4 days there, then travelling back west to Cahora Bassa. The remainder of the month will be spent travelling west through along the lake, through Kariba, and ending in Livingstone / Victoria Falls.

Month 3

The first week of our final month will see us heading south to Chobe and spending time there. Then we’ll spend a little over a week driving west through Botswana past the Makgadikgadi Pan and Okavango Delta ending up at the border with Namibia. We will then spend 6 days heading west through Namibia to the coast and south towards the South African border.
